The Badger Amateur Baseball Association opened its 2024 season Sunday with a full slate of games.
In the Northern Division it was Eland downing Aniwa 7-2. Ryan Hubachek homered and Tyler Nelson doubled for the winners, backing up Dylan Trigg on the mound, who earned the win.
Wittenberg was a winner, downing Hatley 17-10. James Thompson, Dominik Anderson and Erik Steigerwald all recorded three hits for Wittenberg, who totaled 18 as a team.
Elderon also a winner, beating Birnamwood 10-8.
Other winners, beginning in the East and West Divisions included Neopit, Clintonville, Gresham, Caroline and Little Falls, while in the South Central, New London and Polar earned victories.
