Local Sports Schedule for Friday, April 26-
-The Antigo Red Robins baseball team is back on the diamond today, wrapping up a busy week with a home contest against Great Northern Conference rival Northland Pines. The Robins are looking to make it a 4-0 week, after wins over Rhinelander, the same Northland Pines squad and Marshfield. Pines enters tonight’s game 5-5 overall and 2-3 in the GNC. The start time of tonight’s has been moved up as the teams look to beat some impending wet weather, now beginning at 4:30. The contest can be head on Lakes 98.7 and streaming at watkradio.com, beginning with the Progressive Dental Pregame Show at 4:15.
-The Antigo Red Robins girls soccer team will make up its previously postponed Great Northern Conference game with Lakeland, hosting the T-Birds at Listle Field, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Antigo is 0-4 on the season and 0-3 in the GNC, while Lakeland holds a 4-3 overall mark, but is 3-0 in conference play.
-Softball tonight will see Wittenberg-Birnamwood make up its previously postponed Central Wisconsin East Conference game at Bonduel, set to begin at 4:30. The Lady Chargers have won four straight and are 10-4-1 overall, 5-2 in the CWC East. Bonduel enters enjoying a strong season as well, at 9-2 and 5-1 in conference play.
-The Antigo Red Robins golf team is competing today, its leg two of the Great Northern Conference Meet, taking place at the Black River Golf Course in Medford, starting at 3 p.m.
-The Antigo track teams are also in action, taking part in the Neenah Invite, starting at 4 p.m.
