Local Sports Schedule for Thursday, March 14-
-The high school Spring sports season officially kicks off on this Thursday, as both the Antigo and Wittenberg-Birnamwood track and field teams begin the indoor portion of their schedules.
The Antigo Red Robins girls team is in Eagle River for the Northland Pines Invitational. A total of 13 teams will compete on the girls’ side, including the Wittenberg-Birnamwood Chargers. The Chargers boys are also part of the boys’ event, which totals 12 teams. That event begins at 4:30 p.m.
-The Antigo Red Robins boys team is on the campus of UW-Oshkosh, competing in the UW-Oshkosh Small Schools Invite, which includes a total of 46 teams are on hand for the big event, which starts at 4:45.
