Baseball: Antigo Legion Typhoon Take 2 Over Weekend

The Antigo Legion Typhoon kicked off their season Friday night against Stevens Point.

The Typhoon defeated the Stevens Point Sixers by a score of 7 -6. Brady Tatro went 2 for 4 with a run and 2 RBI. Nick Marshall went 2 for 4 with a run and an RBI. Marshall also pitched 5 innings, allowed 2 runs, 4 hits and 4 walks, striking out 3. Brady Tatro hit a two-run RBI single in the 2nd inning. Cody Urban hit a sac-fly to score Nick Marshall. Eric Langseth hit an RBI single and Logan Doering hit into a ground-out to score an RBI to round out the 2nd. In the 6th, Garrett Held hit an RBI single.

On Sunday, the Typhoon opposed Marinette, improving their record to 2-0 on the season. Wade Farmer scored on a wild pitch in the second inning; Korbin Krueger had a two-RBI single to make it three-nothing. In the 3rd, Sebastian Noskowiak was hit by a pitch with the bases load to make it four-nothing, and in the 5th, Wade Farmer and Nick Marshall scored on an error to make it six-nothing. Marinette would score 2 runs in the bottom of the 5th off Noskowiak who was on the mound for the complete game. Sebastian allowed 2 runs on 6 hits with 5 strikeouts.

The Legion are back in action tonight against D.C Everest at Kretz Park. The Legion are 2-0 and looking to keep their season rolling. First pitch  is at 7pm.
