Robins Boys Victorious vs. Wausau East, Win 8-5

The Antigo Robins defended their home field against Wausau East on Friday.

Brady Renfro went 2-4 with 2 runs scored, Cody Urban went 1-4 but scored runs scored in the 2nd and 4th inning.

The first inning for the Robins was a contrast to their outing against Lakeland. Matt Winter drew a walk to reach first and Brady Tatro stayed patient for a walk of his own. The Robins stranded two men on in the 1st, but there was some life in the 2nd inning.

Sebastian Noskowiak reached base on an infield single, then moved up to second. That was followed by a Cody Urban single to score Noskowiak, giving the Robins their first tally in the score column. Jack Krueger reached on a Fielder’s Choice, followed up by Eric Langseth sac-fly to drive in Krueger, moving the Robins up to 2 runs across for the inning.

The Robins were set down in order in the 3rd, but came back to life in the 4th, highlighted by a 2-run homerun by Garrett Held. Cody Urban and Jack Krueger scored again in the 4th, moving the score up to 5.

The final score was Robins 8, Wausau East 5.

The next game for the Varsity boys is against Mosinee tonight.
