ALL Horse Trails in Langlade County will NOT be opening on May 1st due to the late snow and wet trails. The trails need to melt and then dry out before the horse clubs can inspect the trails so it may be the middle of May OR later before the Jack Lake, Moccasin Lake, Crocker Hills and the Popple Ridge Horse trail systems will be open. Don’t expect them to open until maybe the 15th of May at the earliest–may be longer according to the Langlade Forestry Dept. Trail Heads are also included in this. Please help us keep down the erosion and repairs on the trails by staying off them at this time. Thank you. The horse trails are run in conjunction with the ATV/UTV trail opening rules.
