Weekend Baseball Goes Well For Robins: Two Games, Two Wins

A good weekend for the the Red Robins, defeating Wausau East 15-3 and another victory over Tomahawk 6-0 in their Saturday double-header. The game against Tomahawk was the first conference game of the year for the Robins

In the game against East, Matt Winter went 3-4 with 3 runs scored, Wade Farmer also went 3-4 with a home run and 3 runs scored, Brady Tatro went 1-3 with 2 runs scored, Garrett Held went 3-4 with 3 doubles, and Eric Langseth also scored twice for the Robins.

Brady Renfro pitched 6 innings, 6 strikeouts, 4 walks, 1 hit, 3 runs with only one earned.

In the game against the Tomahawks, Wade Farmer went 1 for 2 with 2 runs scored, Brady Renfro went 1 for 2 and a run scored, Brady Tatro scored a run of his own and Garrett Held went 2 for 2.

For the Robins, A.J Kersch threw a no-hitter against the Tomahawks. AJ used just 3 different pitches to dominate the Hatchets, facing only one batter over the minimum. It was an outstanding performance from Kersch.

Next up for the Robin’s, they travel to Mosinee to take on the Indians at 5pm.

Antigo Boys and Girls track team is also traveling to Medford for their 4:30 meet.
