Sometimes NBA trades can get complicated. The November deal for Eric Bledsoe sent Greg Monroe and a first-round draft pick to the Phoenix Suns. Maybe. The pick is protected, meaning the Bucks keep it if they finish sixth in the final Eastern Conference standings. They could also possibly keep it if they finish seventh or eighth, but that would be left up to a random drawing. If Milwaukee keeps its first-round pick in this year’s draft, Phoenix would get it in 2019, but only if it falls between pick number-four and number-16. The draft pick doesn’t become unprotected until 2021, but sooner or later the Suns will get it.
