Winter Storm Warning For Langlade County

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning effective until 4:00 AM Wednesday. Low pressure developing over western Kansas early this morning, will turn northeast and track south of Chicago this afternoon. This track favors heavy snow across most of central and northeast Wisconsin. Northeast winds will increase as the low approaches. This will result in some blowing and drifting of snow, especially in east-central Wisconsin. Snow from the storm will diminish from west to east late tonight and Wednesday morning, but north winds behind the departing storm are likely to slow efforts to clear the roads of snow. …WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO 4 AM CDT WEDNESDAY…

* WHAT…Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 8 inches, with localized amounts up to 10 inches, are expected.
