Good Turnout For Community Meeting On Drugs

There’s no such thing as a stupid idea. That’s the message from Langlade County District Attorney Elizabeth Gebert, as she urges community members to help find solutions to the growing meth problem in the county. At a community meeting last night , Gebert said she’s open to ideas no matter how unorthodox. A good sized crowd turned out for that community meeting at the high school.
Langlade County Sheriff Mark Westen was there. He said drug offenses have caused the local inmate population to spike over the last year. In two years time, he said, inmate medical expenses multipled ten times over.
