Two Girls Become Boy Scouts

They’re groundbreakers and they’re still kids. Two girls from Merrill have become the first girl’s in hisotry to join the boy scouts in North Central Wisconsin. Harley Renken and Lizzie Burkhardt are each just six years old and are bridging the gap between boy and girl scouts. Officials say it’s proving to be a win-win. The boys like having the girls around because it’s a different mindset, and the the girls get to take part in activities like hunting and camping.
