Cause Of Fire Death Determined

A cause of death determined for a woman who succumbed to injuries in a house fire outside Tomahawk. The Lincoln County Coroner says the 77-year-old victim died after a house fire Feb. 25 and perished from smoke inhalation and first degree burns. Neighbors had pulled Sharon Bende from her home at the Clear Lake Condos on County Road A in the Town of Bradley, north of Tomahawk. Bender died at a nearby hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
