Packers' Clark May Have Escaped Serious Injury

(Green Bay, WI)  —  Green Bay Packers’ nose tackle Kenny Clark may have escaped a serious injury after his right ankle got trapped below a pile and shoved to the ground in Sunday’s home loss to Baltimore. NFL Network said “X” rays were negative, and Clark apparently escaped with a sprain after he was carted off the field. There’s no word on the extent of the sprain, but Clark tweeted that he appreciated the prayers from the fans and as he put it, “I’ll be fine.” Packers’ coach Mike McCarthy did not have updates Monday on Clark, Clay Matthews, and offensive lineman Justin McCray all of whom left the 23-0 loss to Baltimore early. McCarthy says Clark is having a “heck of a year” with 32 tackles including three for losses, one pass breakup, and one forced fumble and the 5-5 Packers will spend this Thanksgiving week practicing for their Sunday night match-up at Pittsburgh.
