A clerical court appearance is scheduled today for a Shawano County man accused of killing three passengers in a car crash in 2014. A ten day trial is expected to start next month for 20 year old Ryan Swadner. The nine counts against him include three counts of second degree reckless homicide. Those killed in the crash on Highway 22 in the Town of Belle Plaine were fifteen-year-old Paige Brunette, of Bonduel; 17-year-old Cody Borsche, of Shawano and 18-year-old Tyler Welch, of Shawano were all killed in the crash. Swadner was 17 years old when the vehicle he was driving crossed Highway 22 and was struck by an oncoming SUV. The trial is scheduled to begin Oct. 9.
