Democrat Has Sights Set On Governor’s Job

A Democratic legislator from northwestern Wisconsin says he’ll challenge Republican Gov. Scott Walker next year. Rep. Dana Wachs of Eau Claire announced Monday that he’ll enter the race alongside two other Democrats _ Milwaukee businessman Andy Gronik and political newcomer Bob Harlow. Campaign finance reports show Wachs’ campaign committee raised $41,190, with $13,497 on hand by the end of June. Walker’s committee has raised $3.5 million, with $2.4 million on hand.
