Charges Dropped In Hit And Run Death

Antigo, WI, United States /

A major development in the case against Kayla Rauhut in connection with a hit and run death in Antigo. The Langlade County District Attorney’s Office says it has dropped the charges against Rauhut, after the ongoing investigation produced new evidence. She had been charged with one felony count of hit and run causing death. She was accused of running down Kevin Harris early in the morning of July 28th outside a bar downtown. A witness told police that Rauhut checked on Harris after striking him, then got back in the car and ran over him again. There’s no indication at this time of what the new evidence might be that caused officials to drop the charges against Rauhut.
