Brewers' Santana Hurt; Anderson Gets Rehab Outing

Brewers’ right fielder Domingo Santana hopes to start tonight at Minnesota. That’s after he bruised and numbed his right wrist on Sunday, when Tampa Bay’s Chris Archer hit Santana with a pitch in the first inning. Manager Craig Counsell says the numbness was expected, and “X” rays showed no breaks. Hernan Perez moved from third base to right field to replace Santana, and Travis Shaw, who was hit in the neck by a thrown baseball while stealing second base on Saturday night, unexpectedly entered Sunday’s game and played third. Meanwhile, Brewers’ right hander Chase Anderson will make a rehab start near Appleton tomorrow night for Class “A” Wisconsin as he recovers from a strained left oblique muscle suffered June 29th.
