Brewers' Injury Update, Roster Moves

(Pittsburgh, PA) ¬†— ¬†Brewers’ catcher Stephen Vogt will be out for at least one month, after he sprained the M-C-L ligament in his left knee in a collision at the plate Monday night at Pittsburgh. Vogt was put on the ten day disabled list as starter Junior Guerra returned from the D-L after a knee injury, and those roster moves triggered a few others. Catcher Jett Bandy and reliever Michael Blazek were both recalled from Triple “A” Colorado Springs, and reliever Tyler Webb and infielder Yadiel Rivera were both sent down to Triple “A.” Vogt provided a spark on offense for the Brewers, with four homers and nine R-B-Is since Milwaukee picked him up on waivers from Oakland June 25th. Also, second baseman Eric Sogard begins at two game minor league rehab assignment with the Class “A” Wisconsin Timber Rattlers tonight as he recovers from a sprained left ankle.
