Marquette Men's Basketball Alumni Prepare For Tourney

(Milwaukee, WI) ¬†— ¬†Some former Marquette men’s basketball players will wrap up a three day training camp today, before they start playing in a tournament this weekend. It’s simply called “The Basketball Tournament,” and it gives two-million dollars to the winner. Fond du Lac native and former Marquette star Travis Diener helped start the 64 team tournament last year, and the former Golden Eagles made it to the final eight. The team is made up of pro players from teams throughout the world, and Marquette’s all time leading scorer Jerel McNeal will lead his squad into its opener tomorrow night against the Midwest Dream in Peoria, Illinois.
