(Milwaukee, WI) — The Brewers have reportedly agreed to contracts with two foreign players during the Major League international signing period that began on Sunday. The Brewers’ website says the team agreed to sign outfielders Larry Ernesto of the Dominican Republic for one-point-eight million dollars and Carlos Rodriguez of Venezuela for almost one-point-four million — and the Brewers did not announce the deals. Ernesto is 14th on M-L-B Pipeline Dot Com’s list of the 30 top international prospects, and Rodriguez is 28th. In other Brewers’ news, reliever Wily Peralta was sent Sunday to Triple “A” Colorado Springs, where he’ll begin a two game minor league rehab assignment coming off a strained calf. And Milwaukee third baseman Travis Shaw missed Sunday’s loss to Miami with back spasms after he left Saturday’s game early.
