GOP Lawmakers Promote School Budget Proposal

Republic leaders from the Wisconsin State Assembly held a news conference Thursday at the Merrill School District Office. They were there to pitch the positive impact of their proposed education budget. Representative Rob Swearingen said every school district in Wisconsin will get more state aid under the Assembly Republican plan. The GOP leaders said under their plan, low-spending districts like Merrill, Antigo and Tomahawk will be on a more level playing field with high-spenders.
