Brewers Storm Back From 7-1 Deficit To Sweep Mets

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  The Milwaukee Brewers score ten runs in their final three innings, roaring back from a 7-1 deficit to beat the New York Mets 11-9 at Miller Park and complete a three game sweep. The Crew scored five times in the decisive eighth inning, capped by a three run homer from Manny Pina off Mets’ closer Addison Reed. Milwaukee continued its Mother’s Day magic at home, as Pina joined Bill Hall in 2006 and Martin Maldonado in 2015 in belting game winning homers while wearing pink. Jonathan Villar and Keon Broxton also homered for Milwaukee, which has now won six of seven, and Michael Conforto homered for New York, which outhit the Brewers 15-13. Neftali Feliz won his first decision against four losses, while Corey Knebel threw a perfect ninth for his first save as the Brewers now start a seven game road trip that begins tonight in San Diego.
