Brewers’ RBI Leader Shaw Injured

Antigo, WI, United States /

Brewers’ cleanup hitter Travis Shaw will be out for an undetermined amount of time, after leaving in the seventh inning Sunday with a injured right index finger. Shaw appeared to hurt his throwing hand the previous inning while he tried to make a diving play on a grounder from the Mets’ Jose Reyes. Shaw is tied for sixth in the Majors with 31 R-B-Is, and he’s hitting .283 with an .863 on base plus slugging percentage and eight homers. Meanwhile, Ryan Braun will travel with the Brewers to San Diego this week to continue his rehab on a calf injury that landed him on the ten day disabled list on Friday. And Brewers’ right hander Junior Guerra will make a rehab start tonight (Monday) with Double “A” Biloxi as he recovers from a calf injury six weeks ago.
