Robin Softball team downs Tomahawk

The Antigo Red Robin softball team defeated Tomahawk 12-4 on Tuesday afternoon in Tomahawk in a battle for sole possession of 2nd place in the Great Northern Conference.

Allison Kondzela went the distance for the Robins giving up 4 runs (3 earned) on 5 hits, she struck out 4 and walked 2 in earning the victory.  Rachel Dallman took the loss for Tomahawk, Dallman also threw all 7 innings for the Hatchets.

Offensively Antigo was lead by Kondzela who went 4-5 on the day including a double; Caidyn Roth was 3-3, Abi Fleishman, Kendall Smith, Lizzy West and Allison Peters had 2 hits apiece in the Robins 16 hit barrage, Fleischman and Smith both had extra base hits for Antigo.

With the win Antigo improves to 4-1 in GNC play and 8-2 overall.  The Robins are back in action on Thursday hosting a double-header against Lakeland beginning at 4:15.
