One Year Since Prom Shooting

Sunday marked one year since tragedy struck Antigo after a gunmen opened fire outside the prom.
One year ago, 18-year-old Jakob Wagner shot two students walking out of the school’s gymnasium. Both students survived the shooting. Andy Hopfensperger, an officer with the Antigo Police Department responded to the call and shot and killed Wagner. Wagner’s mother said her son was not a monster, but rather a victim of bullying.
Hopfensperger has been hailed as a hero, but he said he was just doing his job.
