Lawsuit Filed In Casino Expansion Plan

Antigo, WI, United States /

A lawsuit has been filed in an effort to to block expansion of a casino at Wittenberg. The Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohicans is asking a judge to not allow that expansion, claiming it violates the gambling agreements both tribes have with the state. The Daily Journal reports the Ho-Chunk Nation is building a building to house hundreds of slot machines, table games, a restaurant and a hotel to its existing casino in Wittenberg. The Stockbridge-Munsee Band claims the bigger facility, less than 20 miles away from its casino, could cost the tribe $22 million in lost revenue.
