The Red Robins Varsity squad traveled to Mosinee Monday night to take on the Indians, winning 9-3.
Brady Tatro reached on a Fielder’s Choice to get things started offensively in the first, quickly moving up to second base to get in scoring position. Garrett Held did his job and reached on a double, scoring Tatro for an RBI. The 2nd and 3rd innings proved uneventful, but the Robins came back to life in the 4th inning. A.J. Kirsch reached on a double, followed by an RBI single from Sebastian Noskowiak. The Robins left two on base in the 4th but the momentum carried over to the 5th inning.
Brady Tatro reached on a walk and Doering hit a single to reach base. Both runners advanced to the next base on a balk. Cody Urban singled and scored Tatro before Noskowiak grounded to 3rd to end the inning.
Later in the game Erich Langseth replaced Luke Schroeder and went 2-2, scoring 2 runs of his own. When the Robins stepped up to the plate in the 6th, Jack Krueger would reach om a double and Brady Tatro would hit a home run to score 3. The offense would halt after that, with Doering and Kirsch reaching on singles but ending up stranded.
Marshall would lead off the 6th with a single, Eric Langseth would draw a walk. Jaje came in for Matt Winter and reached base by way of walk. Jack Krueger would reach on a single and Brady Tatro pushed Marshall across the plate with a single.
A.J Kirsch was 3-4 with 2 runs scored, Jack Krueger went 1-3 and a run scored, Eric Marshall went 2-4 with a run scored and Brady Tatro finished the day 2-3 with 4 runs and a home run.
