Mother Nature is cooking up an intense spring storm for our area this weekend. Langlade County is one of several included in a Winter Storm Watch that is in effect from this evening through Sunday evening. Freezing rain, sleet, and heavy snow possible. The freezing rain and sleet are likely tonight into Saturday with up to a quarter inch of ice build-up possible. Heavy snow is possible Saturday night into Sunday evening, with a total snow accumulation of 6 to 12 inches. Strong winds are also likely. The ice build-up may be sufficient to cause some damage to trees and power lines, especially given the strong winds. A lull in the precipitation is likely for much of the day on Saturday, with another round of significant precipitation beginning late Saturday.
