Former All-Star closer Greg Holland may eventually help the St. Louis Cardinals win some games, but his first appearance saw him walk in the winning run. The Milwaukee Brewers won Monday’s contest 5-4. Matt Albers had blown a save in the bottom of the ninth, but he got the win by pitching two innings. Eric Sogard went three-for-four for Milwaukee and Manny Pina and Orlando Arcia each drove in two runs. Holland took the loss. The Brewers called up outfielder Brett Phillips from Triple-A Colorado Springs Monday. Brent Suter starts today’s (Tuesday’s) game at Busch Stadium. He’ll be opposed by Carlos Martinez who blanked the Brewers in a game last week.
