Packers Working The Numbers To Get Rodgers Contract Done

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is set to have a cap number a little over $20.5 million this season, so lowering that might be part of a new deal between him and the team.  General Manager Brian Gutekunst continues to say he’s confident an extension with Rodgers will be finalized during the off-season.  Gutekunst says restructuring the deal to ease cap pressure could give the team a little more flexibility.  The bottom line is, getting the Rodgers deal done is called a priority moving forward, no matter what the impact is on the bottom line.  There are two years remaining on the current five-year, $110 million agreement.  Some experts are saying Rodgers big payday could earn him $30 million a year.
