Brewer Bats Stay Silent In 8-0 Loss To Cubs

The Milwaukee Brewers were shut out for a second straight game Thursday night at home, dropping an 8-0 decision to the Cubs.  John Lester held the Brewers to three hits and a walk in six scoreless innings.  Brent Suter took the loss after giving up four runs in five innings.  It could be even more costly than just a losing effort for Milwaukee.  Closer Corey Knebel suffered a hamstring injury in the ninth while he was just getting some work in.  Manager Craig Counsell says the hard-throwing righty will get an MRI and will likely go on the disabled list.  Outfielder Christian Yelich was held out with a tight oblique, but no decision about putting him on the DL has been made.  Rookie Brandon Woodruff will start for the Brewers in tonight’s  7:10PM game against Chicago.
