The Milwaukee Brewers will stay at their current spring training complex for another 25 years. The Phoenix City Council voted Wednesday to extend the Crew’s lease at Maryvale Baseball Park through 2042. And the city agreed to kick in ten-million dollars for improvements that include a new clubhouse and office facility for both the Brewers’ Major League and minor league operations. The Brewers will spend between 41-million and 63-million on the project — and they’ll use their current clubhouse/office structure for other things. Two of the eight Phoenix council members voted against the plan, as one said government should not be paying for pro sports.
