After a day off Monday, the Milwaukee Brewers saw their lead drop to one game on second place Chicago in the National League Central. The Cubs scored a 5-4 victory at Washington Monday night, as Javier Baez had an R-B-I double and two leaping catches at shortstop. The Brewers’ off day was their first in two weeks, going 8-6 in that stretch — and the Crew opens a three game series at Cincinnati tonight (Tuesday) with right hander Junior Guerra starting against Reds’ right hander Tim Adelman. Meanwhile, Brewers outfield prospect Lewis Brinson had a monster minor league game just one day after he was sent down from the big club to Triple “A” Colorado Springs. Brinson went four for four and a was a triple short of the cycle as he hit a three run homer in the Sky Sox’ 14-3 rout of Omaha on Monday night.
