The Antigo Red Robin boys and girls track teams each earned 4th place finishes at the Great Northern Conference meet held Tuesday in Mosinee.
The Robin boys scored 88 points on the day behind 3rd place Northland Pines with 98.5, Medford was 2nd with 178 and Lakeland won the meet with 209.5 points.
Top finishers for Antigo were Thomas Nelson finishing 2nd in the pole vault with a jump of 12’6”, Mitchell Schroepfer won the shot put with a throw of 48’6” and took 3rd in the discus with a throw of 130’5”. The 4×100 meter relay team of Frank Kneeland, Will Dixon, Thomas Nelson and Riland Baker also took first with a time of 45.6 while the 4×200 team of Drew Hohensee, Baker, Kneeland and Dane Tischendorf finished 3rd in 1:38.3.
The girls scored 94 points finishing just 4 points behind Northland Pines who had 98. Lakeland won the event with 178 points while Medford was 2nd with 158.
Top finishers for Antigo were Kimi Robertson who won the girls pole vault with a jump of 10’3”, Robertson was also 3rd in the 100 meter dash clocking a time of 13.15. Hannah Zenkovich was a double winner for Antigo with victories in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.98 and the 300 hurdles in 48.98. Morgan Hotchkiss earned a 2nd place finish in the triple jump at 32’7.75”.
Regionals take place on Monday in Colby.
