The Antigo Red Robin softball team dropped a 2-1 decision at Marshfield on Monday. The Robins jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 4th inning when Liv Weix drove in Allison Kondzela. The Tigers answered in the bottom of the inning with a run and took the lead with a run in the bottom of the 6th. Marshfield was able to retire the Robins in order in the top of the 7th to hold on for the win.
Allison Kondzela threw all 7 innings for Antigo allowing 2 runs on 3 hits, she struck out 7 and only allowed 1 walk. Laurissa Belott, Kondzela, Abi Fleischman and Kendall Smith all had hits for the Robins.
Antigo is back in action this afternoon traveling to Rhinelander for a double-header against the Hodags beginning at 4pm.
