The Antigo Red Robin Softball team scored a 14-0 mercy rule victory over Northland Pines on Tuesday in Eagle River.
Allison Kondzela tossed a 5 inning no-hitter against the Eagles, recording 11 strikeouts and did not allow a walk. Kendall Smith led the offense with a grand-slam home run in the 5th inning. Every Robins starter had at least 1 hit in the 13 hit attack with Kondzela, Laurissa Belott, Abi Fleischman, and Molly Fermanich each having 2 hits on the day. Antigo had 6 extra base hits on the day as Belott, Kondzela, Fermanich, Liv Weix and Riley Arrowood added doubles to go along with Smith’s grand slam.
With the win the Robins improve to 7-1 in the GNC and 15-2 overall, Pines falls to 0-9 in conference and 0-11 overall on the year. Antigo will host Medford on Thursday.
