The Antigo Red Robin softball team swept a double-header from Lakeland Thursday evening at Lake Park, defeating the T-Birds 11-1 in game 1 and 11-3 in game 2.
Kendall Smith hit a walk-off 3 run home run to end game 1 in the 6th inning, she went 3-3 with 5 RBI’s on the day. Abi Fleischman went 3-4 and Kondzela was 2-4. Liv Weix and Alison Peters each added 2 RBI’s.
Kondzela went the distance for Antigo giving up the 1 run on 4 hits, she struck out 5 and walked 1 in earning the victory.
In game 2, Laurissa Belott and Laynie Weix each went 3-4 while Kondzela, Fleischman and Rylee Arrowood added 2 hits apiece, Kondzela also had 3 RBI’s in the victory. Smith, Caidyn Roth and Liv Weix also had hits for Antigo.
Smith picked up the victory going all 7 innings, allowing 3 run on 6 hits while recording 8 strikeouts and issuing 4 walks.
With the win Antigo improves to 6-1 in the GNC and 10-2 overall.
