The Antigo Red Robin Boy’s and Girl’s track teams competed in the Medford Invite on Tuesday.
The Girl’s finished in second place with 157 points only trailing Medford who won the event with 203 points.
Hannah Zenkovich was a double winner for the Robins, taking 1st in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 16.75 and the 300 meter hurdles clocking a time of 50.47. Montana Grabowski also brought home a 1st place finish in the pole vault with a jump of 7′ even.
2nd place finishers for Antigo were Kimi Robertson in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.78, Robertson also took 2nd in the 300 meter hurdles in 52.55. Grabowski earned a 2nd place finish in the 400 meter dash finishing in 1:05.53, Ashlyn Nedden took 2nd in the long jump with a jump of 13’8″ and Dorothy Mifflin finished in 2nd in the discus with a throw of 95′ even. A number of relay teams earned 2nd’s also. The 4×100 meter team of Riley McCann, Kelly Kamin, Julia Westen and Alexis Paszak brought home a 2nd place finish in a time of 57.82, the 4×200 meter team of Morgan Hotchkiss, Paszak, Amaya McCann and Robertson with a time of 1:55.13 and the 4×400 meter relay team of Grabowski, Samantha Schuessler, Bobbi Novak and Zenkovich with a time of 4:28.33.
3rd place finishes for the Robins went to Schuessler in the 400 meter dash, Amaya McCann in the long jump and Hotchkiss in the triple jump.
The Robin Boy’s finished 3rd with 109.5 points behind 2nd place Merrill who finished with 164 and meet winners Medford with 183.
Capturing 1st place finishers for Antigo were the 4×100 relay team of Jericho Kelly, Frank Kneeland, Bradely Westen and Riland Baker with a time of 47.84 and Mitchell Schroepfer in the shot put with a throw of 47’7.5″.
Runner up finishers were Spencer Fittante in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11:27.15, Westen in the 300 meter hurdles finishing in 47.62 and the 4×400 meter relay team of Will Dixon, Baker, Drew Hohnensee and Dane Tischendorf finishing in 3:42.47.
3rd place finishers for the Robins were Dixon in the 200 and 400 meter dash, Deiontae Barner in the 3200 meter run, the 4×200 meter relay team of Kelly, Baker, Hohnensee and Kneeland, the 4×800 meter relay team of Dane Aros, Zander Aros, Barner and Zach Morris and Schroepfer in the discus throw.
The Boy’s and Girl’s track teams will be back in action next Tuesday when they travel to Three Lakes for a multi-team meet.
