The Antigo Red Robin Baseball team picked up a Great Northern Conference victory on Tuesday defeating Medford 12-2 in 6 innings.
Cody Urban pitched a gem for the Robins, going 5 innings giving up no runs on 1 hit; he struck out 4 and walked 1 in earning the win. Collin Meinert pitched the 6th for Antigo giving up 2 unearned runs on no hits, striking out 2 and issuing 1 walk.
The Robins scored 12 runs on 13 hits and committed just one error in the contest. Wade Farmer lead Antigo at the plate going 2-3 with a double, a triple and 3 RBI’s. Nick Marshall was 3-4 including the walk-off base hit in the bottom of the 6th driving in Cody Urban to end the game. Luke Schroeder was 1-4 with a run scored, Matt Winter went 2-3 with 2 runs scored, Brady Tatro walked twice and scored once, AJ Kirsch was 2-3 with a double and 2 RBI’s, Hunter Kirsch added a double and 2 RBI’s and Garrett Held went 2-2 with a run scored and an RBI for the Robins.
Taylor Shaw took the loss for Medford, giving up 6 runs in 2 1/3 innings of work for the Raiders.
