Langlade County residents are invited to a meeting tonight about managing natural resources. There will even be discussion about possibly establishing a sandhill crane hunting season, at tonight’s spring fish and wildlife hearing. The Department of Natural Resources will host the hearing starting at 7 pm at the Volm Theater at Antigo High School. The question of establishing a sandhill crane hunting season is expected to come up late in the meeting, and it’s expected to be controversial. Environmentalists are strongly opposed to it.
