Charges are pending after methamphetamine surfaced in the Langlade County Jail this week. Officials say the drug has been posing major problems for law enforcement in recent months. In this particular case, a correctional officer got a tip that there may be a deal happening where meth was being exchanged among inmates for phone cards. Officers searched a cell and found a bag with a white substance inside that turned out to be meth. A 23 year old inmate housed in that cell admitted he brought the drug into the lockup to sell in exchange for phone cards.
