The Antigo Fire Department rushed out to Remington Lake over the weekend to deal with a juvenile boy who was literally on thin ice. A woman called police just before 7 pm on Saturday, saying the boy was out of control. He scratched his mother , threw things around the house and then began running down the road. When police arrived, the boy walked out on the thin ice covering Remington Lake. Police ordered him to come off the ice and he refused. Officers realized the ice could break under them if they tried to go to the boy, so they called in the fire department. Firefighters stood by in case the ice broke. After K-9 Officer Natscho was called to the scene, the boy agreed to come off the ice. He’s facing several criminal charges.
