The Antigo School Board meets tonight, and may take action at that meeting to move ahead with the elementary consolidation plan. The plan got general negative response from the public during forums held in February. If they do move ahead, the consolidation would begin with the 2018-19 school year. The plan would move eighth grade students currently housed at the Middle School to the high school, making that a 8-12 facility. Fourth and fifth graders would be moved from the elementary schools to Middle School, making that a fourth-seventh grade configuration. All four-year-old kindergarten through grade three students would be housed at East, West and North elementary schools.
